Move on to Mapping Advanced Emotion Vocabulary and be sure to allow lots of time for conversation about personal connections. The next time you play the Statue game to introduce more advanced emotion vocabulary, remind your students that they will be able to share their connections when you get to mapping, so that the statue game can keep moving along. It’s also an option to play the statue game with just one word and then map it right away, if that works better for your class!
